Three more suburbs have adopted ordinances in opposition to a paid-sick-days mandate that could soon take effect in Milwaukee.
The common councils in Oak Creek (4-1 vote), Greenfield (5-0) and St. Francis (6-0) each adopted ordinances this week. The measures prohibit the cities from imposing any mandates on private businesses regarding employee pay and benefits.
West Allis and South Milwaukee have also adopted such ordinances. Wauwatosa, Brown Deer, Cudahy, Glendale and Franklin are considering them.
