Generational Christmas Tradition....

My grandmother (full German) made Christmas stollen each year as a special treat, and my mother learned the skill from her.  Each year my mother carried on the tradition of making the rich dough, full of egg yolks, sugar and REAL butter, kneading in the candied fruit (we only use red and green candied cherries - no citron) and raisins.  She would top them off with a homemade butter-cream frosting, more fruit, and slivered almonds.  I continued the tradition when she no longer could manage it, having watched and learned from the best.  I would hand-deliver these sweet German breads to my grandparents, mother and father, and my brothers every Christmas Eve, when we gathered together to celebrate.  My grandparents and parents are now gone, but the old German tradition continues.  My daughters are both avid yeast-bread bakers, and I fulfilled the tradition this year with my eldest daughter, taking turns kneading and shaping, slathering with melted butter and delivering.  It's one of my favorite memories.....

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" ~ Luke 2:11-14

This Christmas, give your daughter, daughter-in-law, niece, girlfriend a gift certificate for an...abortion?

Picture this:

The family is gathered around the Christmas Tree.  Wrapping paper is flying, children are squealing, adults are hugging.  Everyone is warm and fuzzy, except for Baby CD (Baby Christmas Death).  He/she is just warm and doomed.  Perhaps it's someone's way of giving a hint, or simply generous financial support for a family member not wanted.

This offering by Planned Parenthood does not speak of "joy" to the world, and is everything short of "merry."

This holiday season Indiana's Planned Parenthood is offering gift certificates
that can be used at 35 clinics across the state for services ranging from
contraceptives to abortion.

This holiday season, Indiana's Planned Parenthood is offering an unusual stocking stuffer: gift certificates redeemable for health services at clinics throughout the state.

In these tough economic times, the organization says it made the move toward gift certificates because it is worried that more and more people will forgo basic health care.

Planned Parenthood provides contraception, pap smears and other routine health services for women, as well as abortions.

Victory for the Next Generation of Children - They get to LIVE

EXCELLENT.

Plans to offer second trimester abortions in downtown Madison have been scrapped. Nearly two years ago UW Hospital, the UW Medical Foundation, and Meriter Hospital approved plans to provide the controversial abortions at the Madison Surgery Center.
Pro-Life Wisconsin was among those who held protested, aired public service announcements and petitioned in opposition to the plans. The group applauds the decision to cancel the clinic.
“This really shows that pro-life grassroots activism works,” says Communications Director Virginia Zignego.
