Gay Club Activities for West Bend High Schools Include Educating Teachers?

One would really think this endeavour is more along the lines of a college club. High school children are still minors. Parents remain in authority and have the final say.

The GSA's application states they propose the following activities for our West Bend kids:

Participation and organization of the Day of Silence protest
Participation and organization of Break the Silence event
Educational workshops for teachers
Words Hurt Week campaign
Promotion of International day of Peace
World AIDS Day
Ally Week activities
TransAction! Day Activities
Transgender Day of Remembrance observance
Various fundraisers

Educate yourselves. Is this what you want to use your taxpayer dollars for in our local high school?

Atty. Waring Fincke thinks he can prove discrimination if this club is denied access as a taxpayer-funded club. Perhaps he hasn't read THIS yet.

ATTEND MONDAY NIGHT'S SCHOOL BOARD MEETING at 7 p.m. at MCLANE SCHOOL.

This item is on the agenda.

Adopt a Liberal

Liberty Counsel has this to offer:

We have produced a deck of cards, similar to baseball trading cards, as a part of Liberty Counsel's Adopt A Liberal™ program, which garnered international attention by encouraging prayer for those in leadership to restore poor leaders to right thinking.
One side of each card displays the picture of a liberal, and the back lists some of their liberal positions or policies that negatively impact life, liberty and family. The deck of liberals includes Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and those who are not political leaders but whose leadership and actions affect our lives.

.......

Order yours for a donation of $20.00 or more by calling Liberty Counsel at 800-671-1776, or make a donation online and be sure to make a note in the comment box that you want the cards.

.......

Adopt a liberal from the list below, or select the "unknown liberal." Click on a name for more information about these misguided leaders.

Naughty and Nice List - What stores ban "Christmas"

This was just published by Liberty Counsel today.  Some stores refuse to recognize Christmas whatsoever.  Bah Humbug.

If you find a local store that openly celebrates Christmas, be sure to thank the manager!  Feel free to drop me a note, I'll add it to a local list!

NAUGHTY

 A.C. Moore – Web site: “Holiday Wishes From Us to You.” Report: 3 types of “Holiday” gift cards – when “Christmas” gift cards requested, store replied “We have to be politically correct.”
 Albertsons – Web site: “Holiday Solutions” without mention of “Christmas.”
 American Eagle – Web site: no mention of “Christmas.”
 American Girl – Web site: “joy to the girl” on home page. “Holiday” everywhere but no mention of “Christmas” except items named by manufacturers.

NICE

 Amazon.com – Web site: “Christmas Trees” and “Christmas” decorations.
 Barnes & Noble – Web site: “... free delivery by Christmas” on home page. Local stores play “Christmas” music.
 Bass Pro Shops – Web site: “Time Passes … Hold on to Christmas” and “Classic Christmas” section. “Christmas” music playing in stores.
 Bath and Body Works – Web site home page: “The Perfect Christmas…at Home,” “Spread Christmas Cheer with Holiday Home Fragrances” and “The Perfect Christmas Book.”
 Bed, Bath, and Beyond – Web site: “Christmas Décor” section and “Merry Christmas” gift cards.

CA teachers banned from praying by ACLU

This is just ridiculous.

Liberty Counsel filed a motion to intervene on behalf of Christian Educators Association International (CEAI) in a lawsuit filed earlier this year by the ACLU against the Santa Rosa County School District. The ACLU filed suit, claiming some of the teachers and administration endorsed religion.

The School District attempted to settle the suit by joining with the ACLU and presenting the court with a Consent Order, which essentially bans all employees from engaging in prayer or religious activities, whether before, during, or after school hours.

.....

Before school? After school? Now the ACLU is the prayer police? A teacher cannot pray before his/her lunch?
