I don't think it's the right book for very young teens, but I'd have no problem with an older teen around 16 or 17 reading it. "Perks" is an excellent read.Jennifer Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03674509188116888849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6342364914875572105.post-19564004047516927532009-04-02T13:34:00.000-05:002009-04-02T13:34:00.000-05:00It IS censorship, and book banning. I don't understand why this is even being considered. When my kids wanted to read "Harry Potter," and "Twilight," I read them first. That way I could talk to them about any subjects that came up while they were reading it. Not to mention, it was fun to be able to discuss the books with them. That's my job as a parent- to be aware of what my kids are reading, doing, etc. It is not my job, or yours, to make those decisions for other parents. By the way- I read "wallflower." I disagree with you that it is porn. So, by whose opinion do we judge what is acceptable?beesbessnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6342364914875572105.post-33474063906860432332009-04-02T10:28:00.000-05:002009-04-02T10:28:00.000-05:00The FCC is not a private business and they can reg...The FCC is not a private business and they can regulate the air waves.

Even if you are a private citizen or business there are certain items that are deemed too graphic for certain age levels.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6342364914875572105.post-43848558699126259992009-04-01T20:10:00.000-05:002009-04-01T20:10:00.000-05:00I think you people are on crack! I have kids in West Bend. This does not bother me to have these books at their disposal. Are we religious? YES! We are also open minded. If one of my children has a question about homosexuality, this is a tool they may learn something from. Isn't it better to read about what it is than to actually try it? OMG, is this 1950 or what?
