I do feel Mr. Marquardt is a good choice - I recall that he brought a certain healthy fact-based skepticism to last year's referenda discussion.<BR/><BR/>I do agree with your perception of the way these committees are formed - the term "incestuous" comes to mind. It seems like the district has a certain "comfort zone" that only selected people are allowed to enter. Lip service is paid to the general populance -they might get a chance to serve on some "input" committees, attend public "presentions", maybe get a response (if they get a response) to emails with a "thank you for your valuable input". Point is, it's kind of like a high school clique. I laughed when I saw that video - somehow they think that the "regular joes" are going to "follow" these "leaders" because of who their community standing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
